All hotel rooms include screened windows, air conditioning, private bath with hot and cold water, a small table and chairs, treated drinking water, and nice cotton linens. They are beach-basic – suitable for guests who require comfort but not luxury. Our hotel is designed for people who want to spend most of their time outside the room; relaxing on the beach, going for walks, taking guided tours or self-guided excursions, reading in hammocks, watching the fish at the end of the dock, or meeting locals in the bar and restaurant. We also manage a few private beach house rentals that offer more space and the personal touch of their respective owners (see Joya del Mar, Dreamsicle, Aqua Villa and Casa Beya below). Jaguar Room, Toucan Room and Hummingbird Room
Standard Beach View
Our standard rooms have queen beds plus a queen futon or extra bed, large windows, tiled or hardwood floors, air conditioning and ceiling fans. Private baths have hot and cold water, plus a separate fresh drinking water tap. The Jaguar Room is on ground level. It has a queen bed plus a queen futon. The Toucan Room is on the second floor and has a queen bed. These beachfront rooms aren't fancy, but they are roomy and have nice views of the sea. The Hummingbird Room is almost as roomy with some beach views, but not quite as front-facing as the Jaguar and Toucan rooms.

Coconut Room

The Coconut room is our largest hotel room, on the 2nd floor of the Hotel. It has a queen-size bed plus a queen-size futon, is air conditioned and has walk-out access to the balcony and views through the coconut palms to the sea. It's still nothing fancy, but a clean and comfortable place to rest at the end of the day.

"Joya Del Mar"
Just 100 feet up the beach from the Hotel is a cute, breezy 2nd-floor beach house suite with 2 balconies. Nice views! Sleeps 3, with a queen bed + single daybed for a child or third adult. "Dreamsicle House - upper level"
Adjacent to the hotel is a beach house with its main living quarters on the upper level. This open-style private upper level rental includes two bedrooms (each with queen beds), one bathroom, a full kitchen and an open living area with views out to the sea. Large windows, 3/4-height walls, and ceiling fans help the sea breezes keep you cool but it also has A/C. The large balcony is the perfect place for an afternoon nap in a hammock. "Dreamsicle House - Lower level"
In the same house is a ground-floor apartment available for rent daily, weekly or monthly. This apartment has two large rooms and one bathroom. The room in the front has a queen bed, a table and chairs, and a full kitchen. The room in the back has two full-size beds. Both rooms have A/C, celing fans and windows facing the breeze. "Dreamsicle House - Studio unit"
Right next to the Dreamsicle house swimming pool is a compact studio unit, perfect for a single person or couple. There is a small kitchenette and a private bathroom with hot/cold water and a shower. It's small, but this unit is priced just right for the budget traveler. Enjoy the uniqueness of a private rental at a fraction of the price of a larger unit. "Agua Villa House"
Wow! What started as a simple 2-bedroom beach bungalow has blossomed into one of the nicest accommodations options in Maya Beach. The new owners of this house have put in an infinity plunge pool, jet tub, barbecue area and more. Choose the original 2-bedroom bungalow alone, or add the third master for a total sleeping capacity of 6 adults. A complimentary kayak and lots of pool and beach toys keep you busy by the water! Enjoy views from the beach, the pool, and every room in the house.

"Casa Beya"
Like Agua Villa, this house is one of the most exciting rentals in Maya Beach. Every nook and cranny in this hardwood house has been designed, built and decorated with the flair of the original carpenter/artist owners, all in the spirit of a Caribbean beach house. "SeaGrape Escape
The Seagrape Escape is a newly renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom open-air designed house that has a huge wrap around screened-in porch and a large beach-level deck. Both bedrooms have doors that open to the screened porch. This house is located right between Casa Beya and Agua Villa, so large groups can fit as many as 20 people in the 3 houses combined.
Sleeps up to 8: 4 in 2 queen bedrooms plus 2 additional in a set of bunk beds and 2 additional on a sofa bed in the living room.
Should your group need three or more rooms, please contact us to make arrangements as a discount will apply. Monthly rates are also available upon request. Whole-resort rentals require a 4-night minimum.
A valid credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. You can choose to enter your credit card details on a secure server or you can send them to us by fax.
All prices are shown in US dollars but the actual amount will be charged in Belize dollars at a 2/1 conversion. Your credit card company may charge you a fee to convert the Belize dollars to US dollars. In addition, there will be a 9% government hotel room tax, and a 10% service charge. Your room reservation must be confirmed either online, by phone or by fax. Payment in full must be made 30 days prior to arrival. You will receive notice 45-60 days from arrival that payment in full is due. Reservations made less than 30 days prior to arrival must be paid in full at the time of booking. Accepted forms of payment include personal checks from a US bank account, bank transfer, Visa card, MasterCard, or bank checks.
Please note that we cannot hold a reservation for arrivals less than 30 days out without a credit card payment or bank transfer of the full amount. If you have selected the "Pay By Check" option for an arrival within 30 days, we will contact you to make other arrangments for payment.
Should you need to cancel your reservation, you may do so up to 30 days before arrival and you will receive a full refund of any money paid, minus a 5% fee to cover bank costs. No refunds will be given if cancelled less than 30 days of arrival.
The Maya Beach Hotel works very hard to make our guests happy. We want to be sure that every guest chooses the right accommodation, and sometimes that means recommending another resort.
Our hotel rooms are simple, comfortable and beach-basic with no TVs or phones, and only some have A/C. They are not luxury-class accommodations. There is no pool on the property. T-shirts and flip flops are the usual attire seen in the restaurant and our guests are an eclectic mix of people.
If you are more comfortable in another style of hotel, please let us know and we will cancel your reservation and recommend another option in the area; but please do this at least 30 days prior to your reservation to avoid cancellation charges.
