Protect your health & others
Face masks and 6-foot physical distancing required in all public areas
Fire safety
Be aware of your fire extinguisher’s location and the exit(s) from your room.
No jumping or diving off pier
It’s very shallow and there are hazards like rocks and submerged wooden posts.
Know the pool rules
Please refer to the swimming pool tab to review the pool rules. Have fun but be safe!
Falling coconuts
Look up before you sit down! It’s not a good idea to sit under a coconut palm loaded with coconuts. You could be seriously injured if one falls on you.
Use your in-room safe
Your room has an electronic safe large enough to store a laptop and some small personal items.
Lock your doors and windows at night
It can be soooo tempting to sleep with your door and windows wide open. But there’s an occasional thief prowling the beaches looking for someone who has let their guard down. It’s far better to use your air conditioner to get a nice, restful night’s sleep
Slippery when wet
Tile floors, stair cases, even wood decking can be slippery when it’s raining or when you are wet after swimming. Use caution!

Feel free to take these items with you when you leave, as we will not reuse them.

Prior to arrival, your room was cleaned by a housekeeper using disinfectant cleaners. Maintenance assisted with cleaning and checking fans, lights and appliances.
Our housekeeper will wear a mask whenever entering your room during your stay as well.
For stays of 2-3 nights, we are not providing daily housekeeping at this time unless requested at the time of check-in. Please make any requests for fresh towels, etc. between the hours of 9 am and 12 noon when a housekeeper is on duty.
For longer stays, please let us know whether you would like:

Outdoor Facilities and Equipment Use
The water in front of the Maya Beach Hotel can range from glassy to rough, so swimming conditions vary.
If you are not a confident swimmer, feel free to request a life jacket from the Front Desk.
Minor hazards include occasional jellyfish stings and more rarely stingrays or sea urchins. We recommend doing the “Stingray Shuffle” just to wake up one that might be sleeping near shore. Visit the front desk for first aid supplies if necessary.
Those sneaky sandflies might be more active near the water’s edge, so remember to use repellent if you plan to sit on the beach chairs or the sand itself.
Sunscreen and insect repellent are available in the gift shop.
Pool Hours:
6:00 am – 9:00 pm
Please note that pool cleaning normally happens between 7:00-8:00 am but you’re welcome to be using the pool at the same time if you are comfortable with that. The attendant can tell you whether chemicals are being added.
Pool Rules:
NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY.
SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Dining options
The Bistro is open daily. You can see our current hours and menu at www.mayabeachbistro.com.
The hours of the restaurant have been changing frequently due to Covid-related regulations. At the time of your stay, available dining times may be impacted by curfew hours or capacity restrictions.
We recommend that you use the “Order Ahead” feature of our online menu. This way you have more choice in seating times (and we can seat you a little later).
While we would like to offer priority seating to our guests, reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. With the pre-orders you can normally get a table within an hour of your requested time.
Social distancing is necessary with the following guidelines:
- Please make a reservation and pre-order when possible. This helps us serve you more efficiently and gives the kitchen an appreciated heads-up
- Please use our handwashing and/or hand sanitizer facilities
- Please wear your face mask until seated at your table, and keep your face mask in your pocket, purse, or ask your server for a little bag or napkin
See our menu and order room service using the “Delivery” option, and choose the hotel as your delivery location (free). Please write “Room Service to _______ Room” in the comments.

We will deliver your order on plates unless you request disposable eco-friendly takeout containers.
Please call (+501)533-8040 to have your dishes picked up when you are finished, or arrange a time with your server.
Important to note that room service dishes not picked up before the restaurant closes should NOT be left outside your room! We have stray dogs and cats, raccoons, possums and other critters that could make a noisy mess of these things if they are left outside. Please leave them on the tray inside your room and cover them with the tablecloth provided and we’ll pick them up in the morning.
As a hotel guest, you may wish takeout food for a day on tour or to take with you on departure. Or, you might just prefer to have your food delivered to your room in takeout containers. Use the same “See Menu” button.
